University of Bolton, Academic Centre – Ras Al Khaimah inks MoU with British Computer Society

The University of Bolton Academic Centre – Ras Al Khaimah (UoB ACERAK) has reached yet another milestone by signing the Memorandum of Understanding with the BCS The Chartered Institute for IT – Middle East Section on 22 May 2017. The University of Bolton Academic Centre – Ras Al Khaimah  has now become one of the few universities within the UAE to have partnered with BCS and work towards the advancement of the Information Technology in the UAE, particularly in the Northern Emirates.

 

The MoU was officially signed by Eng. Adel Alkaff Al Hashmi, Founder and Chairman, The Chartered Institute for IT (BCS) ME Section and Fathima Shemim, Programme Leader for Computing & IT, University of Bolton, Academic Centre – Ras Al Khaimah.

 

The event was well attended by BCS – Middle East Committee members, University of Bolton RAK Staff & Student representatives.

 

The University of Bolton Academic Centre and BCS have agreed to promote the advancement of Information Technology in the UAE for wider social & economy progress, professional & ethical practice, share knowledge and develop competencies & skills, exploring the possibility of collaborating on research in the field of IT and promote computing & IT in schools through STEM.
